today we released another updates for twins. This time we did not improve the twin recognition, we worked on the usability. Here are the three major changes:

• On player attributes page you can see the skills you know, thanks to the fact, that your player has a twin for every player marked as twin. Additionally we show you the known top-3 skills of the twins too.
• When you look on skill matrix or any other page, where you can see player skills (except player attributes page), you will recognize that we highlight skills in a slight blue color, which you know thanks to twins!
• The third improvement is the biggest and most important one. When you have player with at least one possible twin, and you click on the twin-icon you will see the completely redesigned twin selection page. Now it is also possible to mark a twin as non-Twin. This helps you to keep a better control on your twins, because the twin-icon does indicate this setting and you always know, if there is something left do (the icon is greyed out) or not.

Hattrick announced CHPP 2.0 in their editorial in November 2010. With CHPP 2.0 Hattrick promised to spend more time on developing CHPP and introduced a new login system. CHPP is the third-party developer platform of Hattrick. Developer can request a license and create third-party applications, which have access to Hattrick resources. With CHPP Hattrick wants to ensure, that only good/trustful developers get access to your data. The aim is to have third-party applications, which are a good addition to Hattrick and increases the users fun of the game.

oAuth is the new login system. With oAuth you, the user, have more power to control what an application is allowed to do or not. In the past, you could only login to an application and the application could access all data available. New is, that you can restrict this access now. If the application wants to manage your challenges for you, it has to ask you for the permission. This different levels of rights for applications, will (hopefully) lead to more interactive CHPP applications, when Hattrick will develop more different access levels to the CHPP interface.
With oAuth the security code does no longer exist. The new login system works the following way. When you register with us, you have to select a user name and a password. Those data are independent from any data you have chosen on Hattrick. Then we redirect you to Hattrick, where you have to log in to grant permission to us to access your data. Hattrick will redirect you back to hattrick youthclub and you have registered successfully with us and got already logged in. If you already have an hattrick youthclub account, you have to register again. When you registration is completed, your old data is transferred automatically to you new account! Please keep in mind, that you have to login with your hattrick youthclub user name and password you chose during registration, Hattrick’s login name and security code will no longer work!

CHPP 2.0 is next to the new login system a promise by Hattrick to develop the CHPP interface with a higher speed. Therefore we can hope for more CHPP functionality for Youth Academies in the future. In the last weeks/months Hattrick started updating and improving existing CHPP resources. I think we can be optimistic to see CHPP resources for Youth in future, but i do not like to make any assumptations how long we have to wait for it.

We decided to switch to the new login system now. Hattrick will take off the old login system (with security code) in June 2011. We liked to switch to the new login system this early, because we like to benefit from future CHPP changes, which may only be provided for oAuth login.

When you register with us you have to accept a disclaimer. You are maybe worried about that, because you had not to do so earlier. Well to be honest, with respect to german laws (we are located in Germany!) we have to add a disclaimer to our webpage, to avoid problems. So please do not worry about the disclaimer, it is only to avoid problems with german law. There are no other reasons!
I am looking forward to the upcoming changes in CHPP by Hattrick in the next month, and i am really hoping, that we made the switch to the new system as easy as possible for you!

this morning we released a new version with some smaller bug fixed and an update for the finance page. We added to views:

1. See on players balance how much money you earned from every player. Click on the icon next to the player’s name for detailed information for every player
2. On financial development you can see in a graph in which season you have earned more money than you spend.

After we released a new Version with 2 big topics some days ago, we will now focus on smaller improvements to thin out the to-do list.

First of all we like to keep you up-to-date what happened in the last year. Mackshot wrote his diploma thesis from juni to october and started working in october. Due to his work on his diploma thesis he had less time to work on hattrick youthclub than before, but the work on hattrick youthclub continues anyway. Addionally Homer-Simpson had a lot of exams and much work at his side job. We hope that you are happy with the speed hattrick youthclub is developing, because we really spend a lot of time for hattrick youthclub and sometimes some ideas have to wait a longer period, because there are other more important things. But your ideas are not forgotten, we have a to-do list, which we try to shorten in the next weeks/month and we do not plan to add too many new task during this time to hold the list shorter as it is now. CHPP got reopened, but no new files for youth academy were released. When there will be new files, you can be sure, that we will use them to easen the use of hattrick youthclub and we will keep you up-to-date about it.

We worked on a bigger release of hattrick youthclub since november. In general some changes can be done independent of others, but in this release we did a lot of stuff which is related to each other.

First, we like to introduce the new bar at the bottom of the page. On this bar you can find your hy mails, newsletters, notes, settings, the logout button and the bookmark/friends list. The friends list is another new feature. When you login to hattrick youthclub, we fetch your bookmarks from hattrick and add all teams and managers to your bookmarks on hattrick youthclub. If one of your friends is online you can see it there and this list provide a fast way to send a mail to your friends. You can add any user to your bookmarks, but you cannot remove or edit users from the list, who are bookmarked on hattrick. Another benefit is, that you can forward hy mails to your friends!

We re-did the way you manage the scouts of your academy. From now on, you can set their names and their regions, which will be useful in future, because we like to provide statistics to you, who was how successful in which region. When you import a player or add a rejected player you have to select the scout too, so we want to garantuee, that no users missed inserting that information. For new users, who do not know, who scouted this player, they have to insert fiction values. Related to the scouts are the finances. We planned for a long time a re-do of this page and finally did it. The finances are now devided in seasons. You can switch between the seasons and a graphs shows the development in a season.

hattrick-youthclub will be offline in a couple of minutes for a short downtime. During this downtime we will

• install some server-side security updates
• delete or hide old coachcomments (training reports)
• remove older no longer used translations
• and some smaller stuff

The following updates are released:

• On statistics page you can see your top resales of your own team
• On player attributes, player skill matrix, lineup recommendation and other sites you will find the amount of matches up to the next skill-up (if you train the player on the best position with best training). Additionally we show the top3 skills on all pages now.

In our latest Release of hattrick youthclub we added the following features:

• We removed the “?” (question marks) from the export to HT and HY forum (ht-ml code).
• You like to know in which season and week you can promote a player to senior squad? Have a look on player attributes page!

today we released a new version of hattrick youthclub. This release includes the following changes:

• We  adjusted the speed for playmaking and scoring/shooting  a bit, after your next match sync these values will be used for calculation
• Some more info boxes, if you are doing something wrong to reduce number of bug reports
• If your player can be promoted to senior squad, we show the amount of matches he can be on pitch until he is 19.000 years old
• We detect the top 3 skills of your player if possible. All detected top 3 skills are marked with a small star (*) at the potential column for the certain skill on player skill matrix and player attributes page (the skills will appear for after your next match synchronization, for all players who were on the pitch)

• When you start with hattrick youthclub, there is no longer the need to add all past matches and trainings reports to have a complete overview over the players’ skills. We import the skill, when you add your player to hattrick youthclub via Copy & Paste, once!
• We found a way to derive the honesty for a small amount of players from their avatar
• HT-ML (forum code) export for rejected players, this export is only available if you have a player in your squad who was rejected before by another manager
• There are multiple pages for rejected players now. So if you are adding a lot of them, you do not have such a long list on one page anymore

today we released an update especially for you. We added several functions to the nt scouting function:

• scout by current skill level and potential
• the specialities of the players are shown
• you can add players to blacklist for certain scouting positions, so they are no longer shown, when you scout
• you can sort the result list by player name, manager name, player age and days till promotion to senior squad
• all players matching your criteria are shown (divided on several pages) [not only the top 100 results are shown]
• scout by allrounder skill
