Training speed calculator

The skillup prediction helps you to find the time your player needs to the next skillup or how long does it take until the player is fully trained in a certain skill. But if you are interested in how long it will take until a player is fully trained in a skill, if he is far away from his potential you cannot use it.

-> We created a training speed calculator. This calculator is accessible to users and non-users of hattrick youthclub. With the help of this calculator you can calculate for any situation how long will it take until your player will reach his potential in a skill. You can choose the training, position and skill you are interested in. We hope that this function will help you with planning your training and will also be used by hattrick users, who are not hattrick youthclub users.

Skillup Prediction

Hi,

when we do not learn for exams, we discuss about new functions for hattrick youthclub and solve user bugs . These functions are the outcome:

1. Comments Categories: When you look on lineup or player’s performance page you will find the name/group for every coach comment next to the comment. If you click on it, you will be redirected to a page, where the group is explained. this does work on other pages, where the comments are shown too.
2. Skillup Prediction: You like to know how many matches you have to train your player to reach the next skill level? No problem, have a look on player attributes page. There you will find a new symbol, which indicates how many matches it will take to the next skillup or until the player is fully trained. Attention: Since we do this calculation not on very page load, the skillup prediction will not work instantly for you. After adding a new match it will work for every player, who was on the pitch

There were also some minor updates. Please have a look on to do list for more information.

Version 3

Version 3 of hattrick youthclub is available. Here is a small list of our changes:

• redesign of help button
• two new pages on help button (scout and coach comment overview with detailed explanations and hints)
• a coolness rating, similar to the one you should know from senior teams. But it does only show the coolness for teams which are registered on HY
• a friendly pool, where you can get easily your friendly to increase your coolness
• a second mailbox, where you receive mails from the language admins, if you wrote a mail to them
• an online shop, where you can buy a hattrick youthclub  t-shirt
• some improvements in the backend of hattrick youthclub, which mainly increase speed of some pages

During the next five weeks Homer and me are going to learn for exams at university. Do not worry, if we will need some more time to answer or fix a problem than regularly. We will finish exams at the end of february. Feel free to cross your fingers .

Maintenance downtime

On the 26th and the 27th of December will be one or two downtimes of hattrick youthclub. We scheduled the first downtime for the 26th at 17h HT-Time. We will redirect you during this downtime to the blog, where we will keep you up-to-date if there are any problems.

What is done during the downtime?

Our work is devided in two phases:

1. We will reorganize some comments. There are two issues we will work on. The first one is related to newer research results. These results will find their way into hattrick youthclub. The second one is the category “skillup”. There are some no longer used comments, which need to be removed. When we change something on the comments, we need to change database entries and translations. This needs a lot of time, because there are a lot of database entries we have to change.
2. In the second phase, we will install some server updates. A new kernel, apache and php version and a lot of other smaller stuff need to be installed.

We hope to need only the 26th for all maintenance work. But we expect to fix some issues, after all this changes, on 27th, too. There is no reason to be panic, when hattrick youthclub is not working on 27th, too . If you are interested in how we progress, we will update this blog entry during the update a few times.

Update 26.12.2009 17:11h: Maintenance work had started!

Update 26.12.2009 19:45h: The first phase of the update is done. Now we are going to update the server’s operating system and the applications.

Update 26.12.2009 21:32h: All updates seems to went well. We are working on a small bugfix in webserver application.

Update 26.12.2009 22:56: The downtime ended a few minutes ago. The next hours/days will show, if everything went well

Lineup help with combined skill and position matrix

We renamed the ´Lineup recommendation` to ´Lineup help`. On ´Lineup help` you can find a new function. It is called: ´I am the coach!`. This function presents a combined player-skill and player-position matrix. Select a position for a player and the player will appear on the virtual field. With the help of this function you can create easily your lineup. You can also save your lineup as the standard lineup. The standard lineup is shown on every use of the ´I am the coach` page and is used on the ´maximum stars` and ´test positions` page, too.

We recommend to not save your complete lineup. Put your trainees in the right positions and save your lineup as standard. Then switch to ´maximum stars` and you will get automatically a lineup with your trainees and the best other players for the unset positions!

You like to delete your standard lineup? Switch on ´I am the coach` page and remove all players from their positions and save this empty lineup as new standard lineup!

Do you train individual?

If you choose individual training, you will enjoy a new output on player´s details page. We divide the individual training into training for a certain skill and on a certain position, if possible. How do we do it? There are three cases:

• The coach report include a message about a skill, which you do not train in normal training => We know that your player is trained in individual training in this skill in a certain training position.
• You choose individual training as primary and secondary training and you got a comment from these categories: “skillup”, “skill fully trained in x-weeks”, “skill fully trained” => It is possible to figure out, with the help of the coach report,  in which skill your players is trained, but not if it was primary or secondary training.
• The coach report includes a message, which is assigned to primary or secondary training => We do know in which skill your player is trained on which position.

We do not longer use a percentage to measure the individual training speed in relation to normal training, because the speed of the individual training depends on the skill and the position. For this reason we decide to show the exact minutes the player got training.

Player search & Cooperation with HatCoach.org

Now it is possible to search in all registered Youth Academies on hattrick youthclub for players by their name. You have to fill in the whole name to get a result. If a player is already promoted to senior squad you have to use the hattrick.org integrated search function.

We are very happy to announce a cooperation with HatCoach. If you are a user of http://www.hatcoach.org you can find a new link on your navigation. There you find an option to get an overview about your youth team, as it is entered in hattrick youthclub. To grant access to HatCoach to fetch these data from hattrick youthclub, you have to set a second security code. This is possible in your settings on hattrick youthclub. This code is needed for the download of your youth data to HatCoach. HatCoach does show the Player-skill-matrix.

We hope that other tools like to integrate this feature, too . We do provide more data than HatCoach shows currently. If you would like to see more, just ask for it .

If you like to see your youth data in other tools please ask the creator of the manager tool do implement it. We will grant access to everymanager tool, which has a CHPP license.

Version 2.57 / November the 10th

Today we released an update for the finance page. If you choose option 2 (finance analysis based on average transfer prices) you will see that no longer the average transfer price of players, who were fired before selling, is shown. Since you fired the player and hadn`t sold him, you cannot get any payback from him.

We added the best match rating you ever get to your users page. You can reach your users page, by clicking on your name on the who is only list.

Tonights updates

Tonight we released some updates:

1. If your player has a twin in hattrick youthclub you can get more information than you get before. If the twin has a known current skill level in a certain skill, which his higher than the known current skill level of your player in this skill, the maximum for your player is set to this value with a >= in front of it!
2. When for a certain skill of your player the current and the maximum skill level is known and you have not got a fully trained message your player can get more subskills than the maximum shows you. The maximum increases with every training in this skill, since you got a fully trained message or entered it yourself (when the bar in hattrick.org turns into yellow color)
3. If you like to include the trainingsspeed table to your website, you can ask for access to download the trainingsspeed table automatically as a xml file. Please contact us on team@hattrick-youthclub.org

Two new CHPP functions

Today, we are happy to announce two new CHPP functions. No, it is not possible to import player list, now !

When you sold a player the TSI, transfer price and the date of sale are fetched from Hattrick automatically. The skills of the player are not downloaded from Hattrick. Please check them!

When a player got resold from the new owner you simply have to press the button and we fetch the date, the TSI and the transfer interest. When your player got resold for the first time, you get a transfer interest bonus. You have to add this one yourself. We do offer an extra input field for these data, if it is the first resale!

We hope you enjoy this two new functions. They are not the biggest improvements, but as you can see, we try to make the usage of HY more easier
